Default Cinematic Trailers for GWNF + GWEN

We all know that the GuildWars team is hard at work creating the much anticipated GuildWars2. Although this isn't a high priority item, I personally greatly enjoyed the cinematic trailers for both Prophecies and Factions.

I would love to see similar cinematics for Nightfall and Eye of the North, just for viewing pleasure.

Anyone else share my interest?

Really you two, don't bash someones personal hopes and the fact that they are attempting to share them with this Forum Community.

Albeit that Place does have a small point to the "Gameplay" statement, seeing what your asking for should sort of be placed as a Download from the ANET website for your viewing pleasure.

So, if something like this came around, I wouldn't be disappointed but neither would I be thrilled.

Well, it'd be nice, but I'd rather they fix a whole slew of other more important stuff first. Like taking more than just destroyer weaps as a monument.

Developers make cinematic trailer to advertise for their new game. There is no way ANet is gonna spend time to make trailers for already released games, especially near 1 year old ( Nightfall) unless they have too much free time and money.

The reason they didn't make one for either of them is to save money. They already got their character base using the Proph and Factions cinematics...it got people into the game. Now they rely on word of mouth to get new customers.

Bidness is bidness.

I'd love to see them, but who made the other two?

Maybe they had to pay for them

Gail said back when Nightfall was released that they spent A LOT of money contracting an outside CGI firm to do those cinematix. They chose not to do one for NF, and I'm assuming EN, to save money.

I dont remember the exact figure she gave, but it was somewhere over 100k.

They would be nice to see, but I can live without them.

The amount it would cost to make those could be better spent elsewhere. While I ADORE cinematic trailers and would love to see them, it's not something I really want to happen as diverting funds from actual game creation seems somewhat wasteful.

We've been through this before. Cinematics are expensive and time consuming, and that money and work is far better spent on things that actually affect the game.
